Advertising, if your potential customers do not know that you are there they will just find someone that they know about, once you are known, undercut your competitors on price and if you do a good job, your customer will recommend you to anyone that heeds plumbing done, of course if you over charge and/or do not do a good job, the opposite will happen, business cards through doors is a good idea because people tend to keep hold of these in case they need a plumber and they can be made cheaply but you must state on them that you will do all jobs at a reasonable rate..
